List of activities pursued: Skateboarding, running, mountain biking, cycling, rock climbing, CrossFit, Powerlifting, snowboarding, body building, soccer, baseball, golf, etc. The point is, I’ve pursued a lot of stuff. I’ve think of why i’ve pursued them. I can’t count how many times I’ve change mind sets and been very obsessed with it. The only think I can think of is that I’m very motivated to follow what my heart is set on to the upmost!! It is a motivation that comes from within. I may not be the best at the end of the day but I strive to become very knowledgeable in what I am pursuing.
The last transition I went through was from a 220 lbs. amateur Powerlifter to a 180 lbs. cyclist in about 4 months. There are a lot of things in life that I do half ass but when it comes to my intrinsic active passion there is no stopping me. This has positive and negative effects attached to it. I’ve been married for 5 years to a very beautiful women by the name of Tiffany. She is my balance… along with the Holy Spirit Jesus died to provide me/the world. Tiffany constantly tells me “I’m like Madonna, you constantly reinvent yourself.” I always smile when she says that. I find the beauty in change. I believe that too many people get locked into their way of existence and ride out life knowing nothing more. This scares me.
Intrinsic motivation is by far the most inspired and deeply committed motivation a human can have. It makes the unthinkable/”impossible” the thinkable/POSSIBLE. The cool/frustrating part is that no one can teach you this motivation. It is something that YOU develop all in yourself. It is a driving force that will NOT be stopped. Sure, there might be some delays in the process, but it will NOT be stopped. Art, Music, Strength, Education, Business, Reading, Running, Cooking, Knowledge, Creativity, Health, etc…. YOUR PASSION IS YOUR PASSION. You do it because you love it and it is done because YOU have developed a love for it through life experiences/the purpose God created you for.
